Tips for a twin birthday party inspired by Mickey & Minnie Mouse

If you have twins in your family, chances are you've struggled with finding the perfect theme for their birthday party. Multiply that struggle by two if your twins are a boy and a girl.

We're here to help! René, one of our founders, has twins and she knows all too well the challenge of throwing a twin birthday party.

If your kids like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, our Mickey Mouse Inspired Printable Collection and Minnie Mouse Inspired Printable Collection will definitely help you simplify your twin party planning. Keep reading for tips on how to throw a magical Mickey and Minnie Mouse inspired twin party using these two printable collections.

Let's start with the cake. Rather than baking or buying two cakes, try splitting one cake between two themes. When Mickey and Minnie are the theme, it's easy to do. Check out this super cute split cake.

Since the themes were our two favorite Disney mice, it was easy to make one cake and split the frosting between the two characters.

If you don't want to bother with a cake (or you just love sweets as much as we do!), try these Mickey and Minnie inspired cupcake toppers and wrappers, which come with the two printable collections we mentioned above.

They look great together, yet they allow your children to feel like they each are represented with a theme they love.

Now on to party favors. Fill our mouse ears favor containers with candy for a themed delicious treat your guests will enjoy snacking on later.

Attach our circular stickers to these favor containers (as shown above) to customize them to match your party.

Bubbles are another party favor that children always get excited about. Take a generic bubble container and wrap it in the themed wrappers that come with our Mickey and Minnie inspired collections. By using a wrapper from each of these two printable collections, you're letting both of your twins show off their personal style.

You can help your twins' friends get into the spirit of Mickey and Minnie by providing them with these adorable mouse ears. They come as a set of 12, half with the bow and half without, so all of your party guests can pick their favorite character.

And let's not forget your twins! As the stars of the party they need something that makes them stand out.

Put a huge smile on their faces by giving each of them their own Mickey or Minnie inspired t-shirt. We've got an assortment that you won't find anywhere else because our designers made them especially for us.

We've got bright, vibrant t-shirts with just the graphic, or nab one of our vintage-style shirts with text, like you see in the photo above. We've even got adult sizes in case you want to get in on the fun too!

And if your little girl really wants to get in the Minnie spirit, how about surprising her with our oh-so-adorable Minnie inspired dress? It comes with the headband too.

Now let's talk table decor. Since each of your twins will have his or her own friends at the party, why not make each a table just for their friends?

Decorate one table completely with our Minnie Mouse Inspired Printable Collection, then decorate another with our Mickey Mouse Inspired Printable Collection

Both collections come with everything you need to transform your table into a theme-filled masterpiece, including napkin and silverware holders, water bottle wrappers and centerpiece decorations.

Every party needs food and how delighted would your twins' guests be if you hosted a Hot Diggity Dog Bar! Customize and print up the editable signs in either of these two printable themes to let your guests know what's on the menu.

You can also add a dash more of your theme by adding our editable food tents to your buffet table, like we did in the photo above.

Lastly, and to the kids it's probably the most important element to your party, it's game time.

We found the cutest Pin the nose on Mickey game on Amazon. It's a twist on the classic pin the tail on the donkey and our kids just loved playing it.
